Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are an excellent alternative to glasses for many patients. We take the fitting of contact lenses very seriously. A Contact Lens sits directly on the cornea of the eye and must be properly fit to maintain a healthy relationship between the eye and the contact lens.

We are very proud of our success over the years in advising our patients as to whether they are good candidates for contact lens wear. Not all patients are good candidates for contact lens wear, and if you are not likely to achieve success, you will be advised of that.

Dr. Price takes all the appropriate measurements for a contact lens fit. These measurements along with an assessment of your visual needs and your eye health determine the type of contact lens to be fit. All fitting and follow-up is done by Dr. Price. We ensure that a new contact lens wearer can insert and remove contact lenses and is knowledgeable about the care of contact lenses before leaving the office. Frequent follow-up visits are required to determine that the vision and fit are optimal. Dr. Price and the patient both must be satisfied with a fit before it is finalized.

This approach to the fitting of contact lenses separates our practice from other practices. We encourage our contact lens patients to maintain yearly follow-ups of the contact lens/eye relationship. As a service to our patients we are able to provide a no cost temporary replacement soft contact lens for occasional lost or torn lenses. We also provide regular replacement lenses at a very competitive price which is often less than discount stores or on-line outlets which do not offer the personalized service that we provide.

We maintain an extensive stock of soft lenses and can often provide your regular replacement supply from stock.

Contact Lens fitting fees are determined by the type of lens fitted.
